Dlaczego lubimy portale społecznościowe?

Prawdopodobnie z tego samego powodu, dla którego po pracy spotykamy się ze znajomymi na piwie. Lubimy ludzi, lubimy ich słuchać i obserwować, lubimy szukać “podobnych przypadków”, lubimy “się pokazywać” i przede wszystkim lubimy być lubiani.

Rewolucja komputerowa oraz popularyzacja globalnej sieci sprawiły, że nie wyobrażamy sobie życia bez wirtualnego świata. Ponadto, zmienił się charaker naszej pracy i nauki: więkoszść czasu spędzamy przed monitorem albo z telefonem w dłoni (nie zawsze z własnego wyboru).

W wyniku takich przemian, co innego nam pozostało, jak nie tradycyjna asymilacja (nas do zastanej rzeczywistości, lub jak kto woli rzeczywistości do nas)?

Człowiek człowiekowi znajomym

Ponieważ nie można cały czas uczyć się i pracować, zaczęliśmy szukać cyfrowych sposobów komunikacji i w ten sposób surowy świat zero-jedynek dostosowaliśmy do naszych ludzkich potrzeb socjalizacji. Kolejne mikrorewolucje: emailowa, ICQowa (komunikatorowa; polski odpowiednik to rewolucja Gadu-Gadu), facebookowa i dziś twitterowa (w Polsce blipowa) znacząco wpłynęły na:
a. ilość nowych Internautów;
b. zmianę proporcji w sposobie spędzania czasu w Internecie (pomiędzy aktywnością naukowo-zawodową a aktywnością związaną z socialmedia).

Wg. teorii Milgrama maksymalna liczba znajomych łączacych dowolnie wybranego człowieka na Ziemi z dowolnie wybranym innym to 6  (teoria Six Degrees). Podobno dzięki social media liczba ta spada i dziś wynosi 5,5.

Siła social media

Social media to po polsku media społecznościowe, mówiąc w dużym przybliżeniu. Dokładniej, są to płaszczyzny i narzędzia umożliwiające kontakty społeczne. Zaliczamy do nich: komunikację e-mailową, komunikatory, portale społecznościowe, blogosferę i podlegającą jej mikroblogosferę (mikroblogging), fora i platformy wymiany myśli, portale oparte na web 2.0, gdzie użytkownik ma wpływ na treści i z odbiorcy staje się nadawcą, itp.

Są idealnym narzędziem do zawierania nowych, podtrzymywania istniejących i odnawiania starych znajomości; stanowią fantastyczną płaszczyznę do wymiany myśli i odnajdywania osób podzielających nasze pasje; pozwalają wyrażać siebie i prezentować naszą twórczość szerokiej publiczności; dają nieograniczoną możliwość zaczynania wirtualnego życia od nowa! Wciąż fascynują i choćbyście krzyczeli, że to nie prawda, nie potrafimy bez nich żyć. Wg. mediapanelowych badań, dziś korzystanie z nich deklaruje ponad 80 proc. polskich Internautów.

Zatem socjalizujmy się i do zobaczenia w sieci!
